"Cognitive and Experiential Diversity" is the second course in the specialization titled "The Journey to Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging."
Although this specialization covers key elements of diversity that are extremely relevant in today's organizations, this specific course on cognitive and experiential diversity is NOT your standard diversity course. In fact, it does not touch on demographic diversities related to categories like race, gender, ethnicity, and age; rather, it takes an approach to diversity that you may never have even thought of before. What is cognitive diversity? Have you ever heard of this term? Can you define it? What about experiential diversity? If these questions trigger your curiosity, come join us! Throughout the course, you'll learn practical, real-world strategies to promote cognitive and experiential diversity in your teams and workplaces. You'll learn how to build a team that is cognitively and experientially diverse and capable of generating creative solutions to complex problems. You'll learn about the multi-horizon approach when managing innovation in teams. You'll learn to think outside of the box — and ask yourself what it really means to think outside of the box. We'll even be joined by a gray rhino! This course is suitable for any professional looking to improve their problem-solving, creativity, capacity for innovation, leadership, team management, project management, and business savvy. We promise this course will challenge your understanding of diversity. Let's go!
